THE ORDER

THE GOAL

Solve the whole expression using the correct order of operations. Work through Foundation and Core, then take on endless Challenge. After three completed problems in Foundation or Core, choose whether to advance or keep practicing without points or diamonds. You have three hearts in scored rounds.

PLAY IN FIVE STEPS

1. Choose your path. You have five seconds to pick Plan Order or Solve Directly.
2. Plan Order: Select the operation you would calculate first. Press Lock Step (↑) to mark it 1, then mark the next operation 2, and so on. Follow brackets, powers, multiplication/division, and addition/subtraction. You can lock part of the plan or the entire plan.
3. Begin Order. When you are satisfied, press Begin Order. The game checks your sequence, then highlights the operation to calculate. Enter each answer before its 10-second timer runs out. The expression reduces after each correct answer.
4. Or Solve Directly: Skip the planning steps and calculate the entire expression yourself. Enter the final answer within 20 seconds. This path earns an extra bonus if correct.
5. Collect your diamond. Once the expression is completely solved, watch your solution become a diamond and press Collect to move to the next expression.

RESTORE TIME & HEARTS

Complete three expressions in a row correctly to earn a Restore Time charge. During a timed answer, press the Restore Time box beneath Streak to refill the current timer. Each charge can be used once, and the hourglass flips when used.

Incorrect answers or expired timers cost a heart and show the worked solution. You can continue while you still have hearts.

CONTROLS

Phone: Tap an operation to select it, use the arrow/Lock Step buttons to plan, and the on-screen number pad to answer. Computer: Use ← and → to choose, ↑ to lock a step, ↓ to undo a step, and Enter to begin or submit. The gear in the upper left lets you control music and sound effects separately.
